On the Lighter Side

Finding good light lunches and salads (that are not limited to rocket* with tomato) has proved to be an on-going challenge. Rational British fare is heavier and generally richer. As a result, I find myself craving light lunches and salads in particular. Here's to eating light!

Blueprint Cafe (London)

I’ve noticed that cafés within museums (and in parks and zoos) are surprisingly good. This one inside the Design Museum is no exception. They offer an affordable two- and three-course market lunch and dinner menu. Their windows face the river with great views of Canary Wharf and the City. They also have binoculars for your use.

Crepeaffaire (Multiple)

While shopping in Spitalfields, I stopped into this chain and tucked* into a delicious goat cheese deluxe crepe (goat and cheddar cheese, caramelized onion, red onion and spinach). Be sure to checkout their special deals for eating in or takeaway. Their motto 'Crepes make you happy' rings true indeed.

Hummus Bros. (Multiple)

No reservations needed for this establishment just walk-in and be seated family style at their Soho location. Hummus is served with a range of toppings and fresh pita bread. Nothing fancy just excellent, healthy and filling eating. Enjoy!
